It is live TV delivered at 3840 by 2160 down your broadband line instead of a dish or a cable feed — four times as many pixels as 1080p. Pixel count is not the whole story, though. How much data the channel is given matters just as much, so a 4K feed carried with room to breathe will look cleaner than one squeezed down the same pipe.
